Dan Farah

Dan Farah is an American film and television producer who, in 2025, became a figure in the UAP disclosure ecosystem by directing his first documentary, «The Age of Disclosure». Before that his profile was Hollywood's: he produced the science-fiction film «Ready Player One» (Steven Spielberg, 2018) and the fantasy series «The Shannara Chronicles», among other projects. That origin matters to understand his role in the phenomenon: Farah is neither an investigator nor a witness, but a professional storyteller with access to the production and distribution tools the subject had rarely had.

«The Age of Disclosure» was, by Farah's own account, filmed over more than two years in relative secrecy. The film gathers interviews with 34 people with backgrounds in U.S. defense, intelligence and government —among them figures of the recent disclosure cycle— and uses them to articulate the thesis of an eighty-year global cover-up of the existence of non-human intelligence. It premiered at the South by Southwest festival on 9 March 2025, had a limited U.S. theatrical run and, from 21 November 2025, became available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, thus reaching a mass audience.

From an analytical standpoint, it is worth being precise about what it contributes and what it does not. The documentary is an exercise in aggregated testimony, not evidence: its material is officials' statements —many already known to the public— and not new declassified primary documents, photographs or sensor data. Its strength is rhetorical and one of reach: putting three dozen credentialed people on camera saying the same thing and distributing it on a global platform has an undeniable cultural effect. Its weakness is the same as that of the whole testimonial cycle: the concordance of the accounts does not amount to their verification, and the film does not close that gap; it frames it. Reception was divided —from broad coverage in mainstream media to skeptical reviews that noted the absence of material proof.

For the UAP Codex map, Farah represents the media dimension of the phenomenon: the moment the disclosure narrative leaves the corridors of Congress and the specialized podcasts to enter the mass-entertainment circuit. His role is not to prove or refute but to amplify and package; and that, in a subject where public perception is part of the object of study, is itself a datum. He is an actor of the ecosystem —producer and spokesman— not an independent source: his contribution is weighed by its effect on the conversation, not by the evidence it adds, which is, strictly, none that is new and verifiable.
