Godfrey, an on-duty officer, made a sketch and filed an official report; he also described a memory gap. A later hypnotic regression —of low reliability— recovered an abduction narrative. The case became linked in popular culture to the unexplained death of miner Zygmunt Adamski, found months earlier in the same area.
