Donald Keyhoe
USMC Major + Naval Academy + Director of NICAP (1956–1969) + author of the first UAP best-seller
Biography
The first public figure to formally denounce a cover-up by the Air Force. Heading the civilian organization NICAP, he mounted the first systematic campaign against the official debunking of Project Blue Book. His books of the 1950s instilled in the American public the thesis of a government hiding evidence — a narrative frame that survives to this day.
