Biography
The investigators never published his real name: the literature knows him only by the pseudonym they protected him with. A former police officer retired to the countryside, he was crossing the moor with his camera when he said he came upon a dark green figure a little over a meter tall on the path, with a disproportionate head and long arms, which gestured at him and fled; he managed to photograph it. It concentrates almost every element of the British entity account —liminal setting, a witness with occupational credibility, an ambiguous photograph, timing anomalies— and for that very reason it weighs as high-profile testimony, not as evidence that moves anything fundamental.
