Capitol Press Conference · Grusch + lawmakers (Jun 9, 2026)

On June 9, 2026, on the Capitol steps, Representatives Eric Burlison, Jared Moskowitz, Anna Paulina Luna and Tim Burchett held a press conference with whistleblower David Grusch, hosted by journalist Leslie Kean and documentary maker James Fox. They set out three demands: presidential declassification of files Grusch had identified by name, passage of the UAP Disclosure Act, and stronger whistleblower protections with international coordination. The lawmakers cited Varginha 1996 among the records to be declassified. Grusch said the government is aware of several kinds of non-human intelligence, up to what he called 'sentient plasmoid life'. The conference brought no new material evidence about the phenomenon: its weight is that of institutional pressure.

Disclosure Project press conference held on 9 May 2001 at the National Press Club in Washington, organized by physician Steven M. Greer. Some twenty former military personnel, officials and contractors, among them John Callahan, former head of the FAA's Accidents and Investigations division, and Robert Salas, a former missile launch officer, told the press they had witnessed UFO events or their cover-up. They called for open congressional hearings, an executive order protecting witnesses, declassification and a law banning weapons in space. No hearings followed. Some testimonies hold up in other case files and others remained unverified; Philip Klass criticized the conference for mixing the request with other agendas and for excluding critics.
