Psicólogo experimental (PhD, Michigan State, 1964) y científico investigador de NASA Ames entre 1967 y 1986, donde trabajó en proyectos Gemini, Apollo, Skylab y Estación Espacial y dirigió la Oficina de Factores Humanos del Espacio. Tras retirarse del gobierno dedicó buena parte de su trabajo a documentar y analizar avistamientos en todo el mundo, con foco en dos áreas: reportes de pilotos y análisis fotográfico. En 1999 cofundó NARCAP (National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena). Es el analista que sometió a revisión la foto del Lago de Cote (Costa Rica, 1971) y confirmó que el disco no era doble exposición, reflejo ni falsificación.Experimental psychologist (PhD, Michigan State, 1964) and research scientist at NASA Ames from 1967 to 1986, where he worked on Gemini, Apollo, Skylab and Space Station projects and led the Space Human Factors Office. After retiring from government he devoted much of his work to documenting and analyzing sightings worldwide, focusing on two areas: pilot reports and photographic analysis. In 1999 he co-founded NARCAP (National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena). He is the analyst who peer-reviewed the Lago de Cote photo (Costa Rica, 1971) and confirmed the disc was not a double exposure, reflection or forgery.
