Biography
A chemist by training, with experience directing laboratories and a nanotechnology R&D group (with several patents). He was MUFON's Director of Research from 2007 to 2017, where he created its Science Review Board (2012), and is a founding board member of the SCU (Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies), the group that produces data-driven technical analyses of cases. Co-author of the forensic report on the Nimitz case (2004) —which estimated accelerations of tens to hundreds of g— and of the study of the Aguadilla case (Puerto Rico, 2013), reconstructed frame by frame from the CBP infrared video. Author of 'UFOs: A Scientist Explains What We Know (And Don't Know)'.

A US Customs and Border Protection DHC-8 filmed with its thermal camera, for over three minutes, an object crossing from air to water with no apparent deceleration and splitting in two. Analysed as the only FLIR record of sustained transmedium behaviour, until AARO resolved the case as two objects drifting with the wind whose apparent speed came from parallax — a technical dispute that remains open.
USS Nimitz Tic-Tac· 2004
