Biography

A pioneering investigator of the UFO phenomenon in Africa. Born and raised in Namaqualand (South Africa) and a resident of Zimbabwe, she was MUFON's coordinator for the continent and founded and edited the biannual magazine UFO Afrinews, of which she published twenty-two issues. Author of 'UFOs: African Encounters' (1982) and 'UFOs Over Africa' (1997), she devoted some fifteen years to documenting sightings across Africa with direct fieldwork. She was the first to investigate the Ariel School case (Ruwa, Zimbabwe, 1994): she visited the school on 20 September, interviewed the children and asked them to draw what they had seen, recording that their accounts agreed —documentation that laid the foundation for later studies, including John Mack's. She died in the year 2000.

On 16 September 1994, 62 children at the Ariel School (Ruwa, Zimbabwe) watched a silver object settle beside the playground and small humanoid figures; Dr. John Mack of Harvard Medical School interviewed them with formal psychiatric methodology, and their accounts stayed consistent for three decades.
