Biography
A Harvard psychiatry professor and Pulitzer winner, he was the most prestigious academic to take seriously, in epistemological terms, the testimonies of people who say they have lived through contact experiences. He investigated the Ariel School case (Zimbabwe, 1994) in the field. He was killed by a drunk driver in London in 2004, one of the cases in pattern 8c, the premature death of critical witnesses. His framework proposes that the phenomenon overflows reductionist Western categories.
