Biography

A Harvard psychiatry professor and Pulitzer winner, he was the most prestigious academic to take seriously, in epistemological terms, the testimonies of people who say they have lived through contact experiences. He investigated the Ariel School case (Zimbabwe, 1994) in the field. He was killed by a drunk driver in London in 2004, an event the corpus inscribes in its pattern of critical witnesses who died prematurely.
