Biography
His book Communion (1987) introduced the figure of the 'gray' into mass culture. He carefully distinguishes two planes: the experiences would be real phenomenologically, while interpreting them as 'extraterrestrials' is the most obvious reading, but perhaps not the correct one. In The Key he recounts a dialogue with an entity that allegedly conveyed technical knowledge he says he could not have possessed.
