Biography
He stepped away from his detachment on the Atacama altiplano to confront two luminous objects and reappeared some fifteen minutes later in a state of severe distress, with his beard growth and his watch both advanced by five days —anomalies his companions said they verified at the time. His case includes a temporal anomaly attested by military observers. It is also the only one whose protagonist ended up dismantling it: after his evangelical conversion, in statements culminating on television in 2013, Valdés stated he had never been abducted and attributed everything to press amplification. His denial does not by itself explain the beard or the watch, so the file remains split between the original collective testimony and the denial of its central figure.
