United States.'Small, metallic, with a reflective underside': the debrief the video can't quite support
In 2020, U.S. Northern Command submitted a report to AARO consisting of just 11 seconds of infrared footage over the U.S. East Coast. It comes with a debrief report (DOW-UAP-D089) carrying uncommon descriptive detail: the object was 'quite small,' 'continued in a constant direction,' of an 'indistinguishable' shape but with a 'metallic appearance and reflective underside.' The video itself, however, shows barely one second of an area of contrast before the sensor switches modes and loses it — eleven seconds that fall well short of supporting much of what the debrief describes.

The night in question
At some point in 2020, an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform recorded 11 seconds of footage over the U.S. East Coast. U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) formally submitted the report to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), catalogued as DOW-UAP-PR106.
As with the 28-year aviator's testimony case (↗) and the Atlantic balloon case (↗), this file comes with a debrief report carrying real descriptive content: a 'Range Fouler Debrief,' identified as DOW-UAP-D089. The report describes the phenomenon as 'quite small' and notes it 'continued in a constant direction.' It characterizes the phenomenon's shape as 'indistinguishable,' but adds two concrete details uncommon in the corpus: 'metallic appearance' and 'reflective underside.'
AARO's official timestamped visual description documents footage considerably briefer than that level of detail might suggest: 'this media was digitally altered before being reported to AARO, and is presented as received.' Between seconds 1 and 1, an area of contrast is visible above the center of the frame. Between seconds 2 and 4, the sensor switches modes, causing the area of contrast to rapidly move about within the field of view before exiting the frame from the top. In other words: of the clip's 11 total seconds, the object is effectively visible for barely 3 or 4 seconds, and the sensor loses it —rather than deliberately tracking it out of frame— when it switches modes.
No coordinates, platform identification, or exact date within 2020 appear in the public record. The material was uploaded to DVIDS within PURSUE's fourth drop (July 10, 2026).

Why this case moved the needle
This file offers an instructive contrast with its two counterparts from the same debrief group (D090, D091). In the Atlantic balloon case, the visual description —32 full seconds of stable tracking— supported without contradiction the mundane reading the witness himself offered. Here, by contrast, the debrief describes with notable precision a 'metallic' object with a 'reflective underside' moving 'in a constant direction,' but the available footage barely manages to show one second of an area of contrast before the sensor itself loses it while switching modes. The gap between what the witness described in writing —presumably with more direct observation time, by eye or other means— and what the sensor managed to capture on video is, in itself, this case's most relevant datum.
That gap does not invalidate the debrief's testimony —whoever wrote it may have observed the object longer than the sensor kept it in frame, or via a different platform than the one that recorded these 11 seconds— but it does severely limit how much the video, on its own, can corroborate details like 'metallic appearance' or 'reflective underside': none of the clip's 3-4 useful seconds allow resolving surface texture or reflectivity at the resolution those terms imply.
The most direct prosaic reading —given how little the instrument supports— remains a conventional aircraft or vehicle briefly seen before it blends into the background or exits the sensor's range during a configuration change, an event too brief for the system itself to complete a stable tracking cycle. Without additional telemetry or the full D089 document —available only as a quote in the DVIDS record, not as an independently accessible file— the case stands, like its counterparts, with a richer debrief than the instrument can confirm.
