This 8-minute-16-second video, cataloged as DOW-UAP-PR052, is one of 50 videos AARO located on a classified network while responding to the request eight members of the House of Representatives filed on March 6, 2026 for access to 51 potentially UAP-related records. According to AARO, many of those materials lack a substantiated chain of custody. DVIDS dates this file June 1, 2024, classifies it as B-roll video, and gives its location as "undisclosed location."

Per AARO, the title "UAP USO Formation [CALLSIGN] (Mission)" was chosen by whoever uploaded the file to the classified network in June 2024; it is not a Department of War designation. The acronym "USO" (Unidentified Submerged Object) suggests a maritime setting, but neither the full title nor AARO's visual description mentions water, an ocean surface, or any element confirming a submerged or coastal environment. AARO only assesses as "likely," without confirming, that the footage derives from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform, and it does not say which regional command is involved.

AARO describes the video with timestamps. It states that its description is provided for informational purposes only and should not be read as an analytical judgment, an investigative conclusion, or a determination about the event's validity, nature, or significance, and that the material was digitally altered before being uploaded to the classified network and is presented as received. Between seconds 0 and 5, four areas of contrast cross the frame from the lower-left third to the lower-right third of the screen (the "formation" the title announces). Between seconds 6 and 38, the video "appears to cut," reframing on the same four areas while elements of the sensor display enter and exit the frame. Between 0:39 and 6:08, over five and a half minutes, the video "seems to cut multiple times, applying various contrast filters and zoom levels."

Between 6:09 and 6:50 the sensor zooms in on the four areas, and between 6:51 and 8:10 they "become increasingly indistinct" as the video quality degrades. In the final seconds, 8:11 to 8:15, the video "appears to cut, or zoom out, likely cutting to an earlier portion of the video, with the areas of contrast more visible": according to that description, the ending is probably not the chronological end of the recording.

The material was uploaded to DVIDS on May 22, 2026, within PURSUE's second drop, with no coordinates, platform, or crew statement.

The record supports little. Four areas of contrast cross the frame together in the first five seconds, but the video was digitally altered before being uploaded to the classified network, and AARO's description shows it cut again and again, with different filters and zoom levels. That description says the final stretch probably repeats an earlier portion, and it does not say whether the parts separated by cuts belong to one continuous take.

The title promises more than the file: "USO" implies a submerged object, but neither the title nor the description mentions water or any maritime context. AARO's description speaks of "areas of contrast" and does not say what they are, how many there are beyond four, or how far away.

As for the four objects, the only conventional reading on record is that of an amateur French blog, OVNI 66, which in a June 2026 post titled "DOW-UAP-PR052, vol en formation de 4 PAN" holds that "one clearly perceives the wingbeat of a group of 4 birds." No official source supports it.
