Between 2020 and 2024, the Department of War (Pentagon) received structured reports of sustained UAP incursions over the Persian Gulf, particularly within the CENTCOM (United States Central Command) operational area. The reports — classified S//NOFORN — described objects with anomalous kinetic behavior penetrating U.S. Navy operational zones in the Gulf, observed by P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol crews, Arleigh Burke destroyers, and carrier strike group aircraft.
The reports include sensor telemetry (AN/SPY-1 radar, AN/APS-137 ISAR, ATFLIR FLIR, SLAM-ER vehicle data) with timestamps, coordinates, and kinematic characteristics. AARO designated the body of cases as an institutional case under PURSUE in 2024-2026 releases. The most documented characteristics: cylindrical and disc-shaped objects, 3-10m in size, sustained speeds Mach 1+ at low altitude over the sea, capable of instantaneous halts followed by non-conventional acceleration.
