PURSUE · Fifth release

PURSUE's fourth and fifth drops released 34 videos with the same clean provenance as Release 01 —CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, NORTHCOM, and direct transfers from the Navy's UAPTF, without Release 02's chain-of-custody problem—, of which 16 already have their own case in this corpus. These remaining 18 do not: each is an area of contrast a sensor tracks, loses, and regains, with no accompanying report, technical comment, or distinctive behavior. They span from 1996 (the oldest video found in this session's entire DVIDS sweep) to 2025, and three theaters —the Middle East, the Indo-Pacific, and both U.S. coasts— without any single one supporting its own narrative.

In 2019, an event over the Pacific Ocean was documented in five separate recordings —catalogued DOW-UAP-PR123 through PR127—, captured contemporaneously and transferred by the Navy's Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) to AARO in 2022. Three are secondary captures of an infrared sensor display (someone filmed the screen, not the direct feed); the other two are hand-held recordings by a service member in low-light conditions showing 'several apparent light sources' entering and exiting frame as the camera chases them. It is the only file in this session's sweep with more than two independent documentary sources of the same event, and its provenance —a direct UAPTF transfer, not a find on a classified network via FOIA— is more traceable than the Release 02 batch's.

A commercial airline pilot and Air Force reservist gave a statement to the FBI in March 2024 about recurring white lights he has observed since October 2023 on transatlantic and transcontinental flights — up to ten at once, with brightness cycles from seconds to a minute — which, per his account, other pilots discuss openly over radio. In February 2024 he managed to film them from the cockpit, with the flight panel showing Mach 0.80 and his exact position near Sioux Falls. In the same interview he recounted a second event, twenty years earlier: a giant, silent triangle crossing the sky over Bagram, Afghanistan, in 2002, also seen by another pilot.

In 2026, security personnel at a sensitive federal site detected an anomalous radio-frequency emission, aimed a thermal camera at the indicated bearing, and filmed two black objects moving slowly in formation above a mountain range. The following night, another agent observed, from the same post, a thermally 'hot' object —unlike the 'cold' ones the night before— on a similar heading, and deliberately compared its size to a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter he filmed as a reference: the object measured roughly half its size. Neither witness could determine the aircraft type, propulsion, or exact configuration.

In October 2023, an aviation enthusiast working a night shift in Colorado Springs watched a black equilateral triangle, the size of a parking lot, emerge from a stationary, 'pixelated' gray cloud, a red light at each corner. It flew at helicopter speed, then accelerated almost instantly to Mach 1-2, banked sharply in the direction opposite a conventional aircraft, and vanished surrounded by heat-mirage-like waves. Calling his wife a minute later, she noted his voice sounded 'robotic,' as if there were electronic interference. It's the second FBI/PURSUE file describing a triangle over the same city in the same month.

One night in June or July 2011, two people in a car leaving their driveway watched a massive black triangle pass low overhead heading north, a car-sized white light at each corner, emitting a low, pulsing hum. They estimated its dimensions at roughly 200 by 100 feet, about 800 feet up. The object disappeared behind the treeline in 10-15 seconds, leaving no contrail, before they could film it. The FBI took both witnesses' statements in April 2025 — nearly fourteen years after the event.

In October 2023, around 10:50 PM, a married couple sitting on their back porch in Colorado Springs watched a silent, nearly transparent triangular object pass overhead, from northeast to southwest, with a silvery-blue band of light on its trailing edge. The witness —familiar with USAF aircraft and military drones from living near an airport— said it looked like nothing he'd seen before. The entire observation lasted about four seconds, too brief to photograph. The FBI took his statement in January 2026.

Over the course of one night in 2026, two employees of a federal site in the western U.S. —on area-reconnaissance duty— spent hours observing a sequence of red lights: one that split into 6 to 10 synchronized lights, three-light clusters in a triangular pattern that 'never separated, as if attached to the same object,' and ground-level lights that closed to within 200 meters. Both witnesses, interviewed separately by the FBI, corroborated the account — and one unusual detail: one man's mechanical watch, which had never drifted more than a minute in five years, ended the night 25 minutes fast relative to every digital clock nearby.

On the night of September 8, 2021, a U.S. Special Operations Forces AC-130 gunship observed roughly 25 instances of unidentified aerial phenomena during a live-fire exercise in the Gulf of Oman. The electro-optical/infrared sensor captured 'cold orbs' —with no thermal signature of their own— that fled without changing altitude just as the 105mm cannon opened fire, flew in coordinated formations 'like dolphins swimming in a pod,' and reached up to 1,300 mph with no visible means of propulsion. The backup video was corrupted by an onboard recorder failure. The Air Force intelligence report (IIR), declassified in 2026 via PURSUE, explicitly catalogs it as 'not finally evaluated.'

On November 14, 1963, the U.S. embassy in Rio de Janeiro asked its consul in Salvador to confirm a press report: a 'manned metal balloon' had allegedly crashed near Conde, Bahia, with a dead crewman wearing a strange suit and a four-meter-deep crater. Six days later, a second diplomatic cable —now declassified via PURSUE 2026— closed the case: Consul Harold Midkiff reported the story was 'apparently fabricated in Rio,' that no one in the area had seen anything, and that Brazil's Ministry of Aeronautics categorically denied it. A local newspaper headlined its story 'The Airship That Wasn't There.'

Between November 16 and 24, 1964, the destroyer USS Gyatt and several Navy F-8 Crusader fighters tracked a high-speed, high-altitude object —over 3,800 knots on radar, Mach 3 by the pilot's estimate— delta-shaped and fighter-sized, in the Atlantic Fleet Weapons Range near Puerto Rico. CIA documents declassified in 2026 via PURSUE show the investigation was handled through BYEMAN/OXCART control channels and concluded it was probably a classified U.S. delta-wing aircraft with far higher climb performance than the F-8 —not a UFO in the literal sense, but the shadow of a program the CIA's own document could not name.

Four U.S. Army/Air Force (AAF/USAF) files on the first 'flying disc' wave, declassified in the first PURSUE tranche (May 8, 2026): Air Materiel Command 'General' correspondence from 1946-47 and 1948, a November 1948 air-intelligence report (Netherlands) and the '319.1 Flying Discs 1949' file with incident reports filed under FSR 200-4 regulation, by military and Civil Aviation Authority witnesses. The set documents the institutional onset of the UFO problem —from the Twining memo (1947) to Project Grudge (1949)— in its administrative substrate. A tier-B document-case: a primary record of the process, not evidence of anomaly.

PURSUE (Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters) is the executive directive signed by the Trump administration in May 2026 ordering the newly renamed Department of War (formerly DoD) to execute an 'expeditious' interagency release of unresolved UAP records. The war.gov/ufo/ portal opened on May 8, 2026 and published in successive tranches: Release 1 (May 8), Release 2 (May 22), Release 3 (June 12), Release 4 (July 10) and Release 5 (August 7). By mid-June the portal had surpassed 1.7 billion accesses. The AARO assessment accompanying the third release (signed by its director Jon Kosloski, June 5) emphasizes 'plasma-like' orbs —including an orange 'mother orb' releasing smaller red orbs— and concedes that ~40% of cases remain unexplained. The fourth release (July 10, 2026) contributed 40 additional files (14 documents, 19 videos, 4 audio recordings, 3 images), including infrared video of a six-pointed object over the Yellow Sea captured by U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in 2025, testimony from a military aviator with 28 years of service about a rectangular object with 'flight characteristics unlike anything I had seen' (Eastern US, 2019), documentation of an intrusion over the Pantex nuclear plant (Texas, September 2015), and a transcript of a Los Alamos conference (1949) where physicists attempted to explain the 'green fireballs' over the nuclear laboratory. It is the first U.S. federal UAP-release infrastructure with a direct presidential mandate and a stable public URL. The content remains more procedural than probative —orb videos, historical audio and declassified documents, without the conclusive piece that would settle the material question— but it is no longer an empty channel.

During 1946 some 2,000 reports of unidentified projectiles were logged over Sweden; after reviewing them, the Swedish Defence Staff (Försvarsstaben) classified 225 cases as 'real physical objects' it could not explain.
