Within three hours, fifteen independent drivers around Levelland, Texas reported an oval object that killed engines and headlights on approach, with systems recovering as it left; sheriff Weir Clem confirmed it at the scene. The first documented mass electromagnetic-interference event.

All ten Minuteman ICBMs at Malmstrom AFB's Oscar-Flight Launch Control Center simultaneously went off-alert while security reported a luminous object over the bunker; the USAF logged it as 'cause undetermined' and Captain Salas testified publicly.

On 18 October 1973, an Army Reserve Bell UH-1H over Mansfield, Ohio, nearly collided with a gray cigar-shaped object; though the crew held the controls in a descent, the helicopter climbed with no pilot input. The Army's official after-action report remains on file, unreclassified.

Before dawn on 19 September 1976, two Imperial Iranian Air Force F-4 Phantoms tried to intercept a luminous object over Tehran; both lost communications and weapons systems on approach, recovering them as they pulled away. The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency officially validated the case from multi-sensor data.

During the 1989–1990 Belgian wave, two F-16s chased a triangular object that produced nine radar locks and computed accelerations of 46G; General De Brouwer presented the data publicly. The best multi-sensor dataset documented by a NATO air force.

U.S. DoD federal program (~USD 22M, 2008–2010), requested by Senator Harry Reid, contracted to the DIA and executed by Robert Bigelow's BAASS from the Skinwalker Ranch in Utah. It produced 38 Defense Intelligence Reference Documents (DIRDs) on exotic physics and biological effects. The first formally documented U.S. federal program after Project Blue Book — with contracts, paid receipts and testimony under declaration — and the direct precursor to AATIP (Elizondo) and the disclosure wave that culminates in AARO and the 2023–2025 congressional hearings. The case also folds in the three instrumented-measurement campaigns at the property —NIDS (1996–2004), BAASS and Brandon Fugal's televised team— and their results, of far lower evidential quality than the program's paperwork.

On 17 July 1957, a USAF RB-47 reconnaissance aircraft detected a radar signal correlated with a visible light over the Gulf of Mexico via three independent ELINT receivers, ground radar and visual observation, all appearing and vanishing in sync for 90 minutes across 1,100 km. The Condon Report classified it as unexplained.

Before dawn on 24 October 1968, an object interacted simultaneously with an airborne B-52 —whose UHF comms failed and which was captured on radarscope film— and with security personnel at Minuteman missile silos at Minot AFB. It joins two corpus patterns: airborne electromagnetic interference and nuclear-infrastructure surveillance.

On 31 July 1995, during Aerolíneas Argentinas flight AR 674's final approach to Bariloche, the crew reported a luminous disc-shaped object escorting the aircraft while the airport suffered a total, simultaneous power blackout. The CEFAe opened an official file and the outage was independently documented by the local utility.

On 12 July 1987, the crew of a Czechoslovak 51st Regiment Mi-24 helicopter was ordered to intercept a cylindrical object and chased it for two and a half hours, reporting accelerations from 60 to 2,700 km/h that evaded weapons lock. The three named crew held their account for over 35 years; the records were destroyed by order.

In November 1968, a French physician (anonymized as 'Dr. X') saw from his window two luminous disks that merged into one and emitted a beam. After the encounter an axe wound and an old war injury vanished, and weeks later a triangular rash appeared on him and on his fourteen-month-old son. Documented by Aimé Michel and Jacques Vallée and published in Flying Saucer Review (1969), it is one of the most cited — and hardest to close — 'physical effects' cases.

On 3 May 1975, 23-year-old Mexican pilot Carlos Antonio de los Santos flew from Zihuatanejo to Mexico City in his Piper PA-24 and reported three disk-shaped objects that surrounded his aircraft and forced an ascent he felt was beyond his control, until he issued a 'Mayday'. The Mexico City tower logged the incident and radar contact was reported. Astronomer J. Allen Hynek (CUFOS) interviewed the pilot. The later pressure by alleged 'men in black' is the contested layer of the case.

On 16 August 1954, over the capital of Madagascar — then Tananarive, a French colony — tens of thousands of people watched a large green metallic-looking sphere pass at low altitude, followed by an identical second object. Witnesses described an electrical blackout as it passed and the stampede of zebu herds. The base commander, General Fleurquin, ordered an investigation led by the observatory director, who questioned more than 5,000 witnesses. It is one of the best-attested mass sightings of the period.

Between late 1944 and 1945, Allied pilots —chiefly of the 415th Night Fighter Squadron over the Rhine Valley, and also in the Pacific— reported bright lights and spheres that followed their aircraft, manoeuvred and vanished. They called them «foo fighters». They did not show on radar and never attacked; they were suspected to be an enemy secret weapon. It is the first modern military UAP phenomenon documented in official reports, predating Kenneth Arnold and Roswell — and a control case on «natural but unexplained» phenomena (plasma, St. Elmo's fire).

On 3 August 1965, road-accident investigator Rex Heflin took four Polaroid photographs of a hat-shaped object over a road in Santa Ana (California); his radio failed during the sighting. Days later, two men claiming to be from NORAD took three originals and never returned them. Later analyses ruled out a model suspended by a string.

France's largest UFO wave: on the night of 5 November 1990, thousands of witnesses across the country saw a large, dark, silent 'triangle' cross the sky from southwest to northeast. It was the atmospheric re-entry of the third stage of a Soviet Proton rocket, identified within days by SEPRA and independent satellite trackers.

In the summer of 2012, Air Force geospatial intelligence specialist Dylan Borland reported seeing, near the NASA hangar at Langley Air Force Base (Virginia), a triangular object roughly 100-150 feet across that interfered with his phone, made no sound, and ascended at extreme speed before disappearing over the Atlantic. The episode stayed private until Borland recounted it under oath before Congress on September 9, 2025, alleging subsequent professional retaliation. In August 2026 he escalated the account in an interview, claiming a non-human intelligence 'controls' the cover-up —his own interpretation of a secondhand, unnamed comment, with no new verifiable data.

Over the course of one night in 2026, two employees of a federal site in the western U.S. —on area-reconnaissance duty— spent hours observing a sequence of red lights: one that split into 6 to 10 synchronized lights, three-light clusters in a triangular pattern that 'never separated, as if attached to the same object,' and ground-level lights that closed to within 200 meters. Both witnesses, interviewed separately by the FBI, corroborated the account — and one unusual detail: one man's mechanical watch, which had never drifted more than a minute in five years, ended the night 25 minutes fast relative to every digital clock nearby.

In October 2023, an aviation enthusiast working a night shift in Colorado Springs watched a black equilateral triangle, the size of a parking lot, emerge from a stationary, 'pixelated' gray cloud, a red light at each corner. It flew at helicopter speed, then accelerated almost instantly to Mach 1-2, banked sharply in the direction opposite a conventional aircraft, and vanished surrounded by heat-mirage-like waves. Calling his wife a minute later, she noted his voice sounded 'robotic,' as if there were electronic interference. It's the second FBI/PURSUE file describing a triangle over the same city in the same month.
